Christy Fisher

“Award winning singer/songwriter, Christy Fisher , is a powerhouse of talent - whether performing as a singer/songwriter with her originals with just voice and guitar , or as a "one girl band" that brings a show full of pop, rock, soul, groove - there are always good vibes ! Her “songwriter style” solo acoustic show brings an evening of lyric driven originals and the stories behind the songs, including those from her collection that won an “album of the year” award from the International Singer and Songwriters Association. ….and we also have the “one girl band” show : Putting a twist on the 70s to present , her “OGB” show covers forgotten favorites from artists like R.E.M. ,The Eurythmics, and Elvis Costello as well as the best of Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac , Linda Ronstadt , The Eagles , and many more . An audio engineer and multi instrumentalist , she creates percussion and accompaniment effects that go far beyond a "solo girl with a guitar". Her powerful vocals have been described as "Grace Slick and Annie Lennox with a bit of Ella on the side" .... From intimate listening rooms to dance clubs , she delivers an evening of top notch entertainment. ” - Thomas Logan

It all started by being the "Seamstress for the Band".

..from Zappa to Zevon.. from Clapton to Hendrix to the local bar bands.. I was the girl with the sewing machine..who sang while she worked :)

I had one foot in the music business- while creating clothing for other musicians and at the same time I was doing background vocals on many of their albums,

I had a 45 out in the 70's for the musical production "Jesus Christ Superstar" . The single was "I don't Know How to Love Him" . It landed me a contract and a slot on Merv Griffin ..but they wanted to "make me over" and I "wouldn't wear that @#%* blue chiffon dress and tease my hair" ...so....I ripped the recording contract, left the biz, and went into clothing design ...for awhile ; )

Being the "chick singer" in many bar bands., I have performed and done road touring and worked the "loop": the ski resort circuit, the winery circuit, and playing every type of venue from the street to the big stage at a major pop festival (Miami 1968 - while I was still in high school )

I currently have two albums of original material that are charting in over 60 countries . My “Mixed Signals” album just won the 2022 Album of the Year award from the International Singer and Songwriters Association.

I play over 200 gigs a year at wineries , resorts, songwriter festivals and listening room environments throughout the US .
